 President’s Corner
We
continue to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of
Stockton Council, with a full array of events for
the year!
Capt.
Jim Dodge, USN Ret., will bring us "The navy's Story
of the F-14" at the first Stockton Council meeting
of 2008, Monday, January 28th at 11:30 a.m., at Le
Bistro. Jim is Area President for Pacific
Central Region, and Past President of Stockton
Council.
In
February we're hosting a President's Day
"Wine-tasting & Hors d'oeuvres" event at Gnekow
Family Winery! That's Monday February 18th, at
4 p.m. Tickets for Navy League members and
guests: $5 per person. US Coast Guard/Rio
Vista Station will be invited to come free, as our
guests! Mix and mingle with our adopted unit,
and enjoy the tour of the winery. (Gnekow
Family Winery also is offering a 25% discount on any
non-sale full cases purchased that day.) This
will be a membership recruitment and fund-raising
event! Bring prospects! Reservations may

Navy
League of the U.S. supports the Sea Services--Navy,
Marine Corps, US Coast Guard, and US Flag-Merchant
Marines. Our Stockton Council membership
stands at 139, and growing! Now is the time to
recruit, as the current dues-rate of $40 per year
and $450 life-membership has been extended until
July 1st. Let's bring prospects to our
meetings, so they can see the work we do, and join
us in the effort to support our Sea Services, as
well as our active youth program, Sea Cadets & Navy
Leaguers.
